Eterm

I downloaded and compiled Eterm this morning and am having trouble running it in transparent mode. When I try and use Esetroot it says "Eterm was compiled without pixmap support so Esetroot is useless." Anyone know how I can compile Eterm w/ pixmap support and if this is why I am running into problems with transparent mode?

Thanks

in the source directory execute './configure --help' it will list the options you can pass to configure (and their defaults) ... there should be something in there about supporting pixmaps. And this is probably why you are having trouble with transparent mode as it would have to read the root window and copy the image displayed.

hope that helps,
let me know if you get it working,

Try looking at the README (or some other appropriately named helpful piece of text) for any options you can pass during the './configure'

I read ./configure --help and compiled with "--enable-trans" and it still didn't work. However it is asking for version 2 of the IMlib and I am using like version 1.9 or something. I think that is probably it.
