Samba & ms Office Problem

Hi all,

I have a problem with MS Office Accessing Samba shares. The Samba server has had a long term trouble free life. It is function correctly from My Network Places and Mapped drives. But when you try to access the shares through m$ Office, such as insert picture. The error message Access is Denied is given. I am stumped. Other programs have no issue just anything m$ Office. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Gavin.

Make sure you have your networking configuration set up when you install linux, also check you system tools and /etc/resolf.conf and make sure your DNS is correct.

Thanks for the reply.

I have a feeling its something to do with the windows side. Config has not changed, since install, long time ago. The box is an active Mail and Web server. No DNS problems. The problem only seems to be confined to m$ frontpage and word, all other office suite programs are fine.

With Word/Frontpage cannot open, save, or insert from share. I am stumped
I should note it is only affecting one XP machine.

Gavin.
