Problem accessing open office documents over samba share

I have a file server setup on Slackware 10.1 with samba. The other computers in the network run Windows XP Home/Pro. When I try to access an open office file from the samba share all is ok. But if the file is already opened from another computer in the network, and I try to open it, instead of opening it in read-only mode I get the following error : "Error loading document file://Srv/path_to_file/filename:\\Srv\path_to_file\filename does not exist". If I use MS Office the file is opend as it should in read-only mode.

Anybody has any idea what is wrong?
Well, anyway, thank you.
