Real Player Integrated Video Streams in Firefox

I just installed the Real Player and put the plugins into my mozilla folder and according to aboutlugins in firefox, my Real Player plugins are active. I also installed RealPlayer 10.0.2 Gold and Helix Player 1.0.2 Gold. Though, when I go to watch media on a site such as Yahoo! Movies for trailers and such, the Media Helper says the Real Player is "OK" for play. But it doesn't start, it says "Could not find an appropriate hxplay or realplay in the system path to use as an imbedded player."

Anyone have any trouble with this or a similar situation? I installed my RealPlayer, Real Player Gold and Helix Player Gold all in the /usr/local directory. In all the installations they asked me to "enter the prefix for symbolic links [/usr]" I just kept it at /usr and just pressed enter. Any suggestions?

Angry

I get the same error: Could not find an appropriate hxplay or realplay in the system path to use as an embedded player. I also get: Timed out in ReceiveMessage.

I just installed RealPlayer 10.0.3.748. When a link loads RealPlayer, it executes several times so I get multiple processes running.

What do I have to do to get this working?

Thanks!

ive got these in firefox's plugin dir (realplayer gives me these, theyre also fetchable by hand from its installdir/mozilla/):
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 57457 2005-03-11 23:25 nphelix.so*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 5086 2005-03-11 23:25 nphelix.xpt*

And, have
/usr/bin/hxplay
/usr/bin/realplay

obvoiusly in my path.. Works great when its actually needed, and tjhats not too often bacause mplayer plugin can handle most.. It works so great it even attempts to make my life easier by playing rpm:s (;

It's a problem with the yahoo site. Maybe it was configured for use with IE and activex because I get the same error using Firefox with the RealPlayer plugins.

Thumbs up solution!

Thanks to all that responded to my request! I found that the rpm installation created a bad symbolic link to /usr/bin/realplay. I recreated that symbolic link properly and it works perfectly!
