Problems installing SuSe 7.1
I have tried to install SuSE 7.1 in several machines.
In the 1st machine (HP Vectra VL) I tried 4 times. Finally I can install but I don't remember how :-).
The 2nd one is a PC based on RC440BX motherboard. I had SuSE 6.4 installed and I upgraded to 7.1. The installation halt after several packages was installed (more than 100). I restarted the installation and the process continued... and halt after advancing some more packages :-(. I restarted another time and finally the process was terminated correctly :-).
The 3rd machine stuck during the boot showing some message about "ide.." (messages about hard disks identification were displayed before the halt). I tried another PC, an old 48 Mb RAM Pentium.
In this PC the installation switched to Yast (whitout mouse). The process worked fine (and slowly) and halted near the end, when installing the kernel. I did not select kernel 2.4.
What can I do?
Thanks to anybody that can help me. :-)
