Angry having some problems installing suse...

well im at the network configuration part, but it cant detect that im on dsl or detect my modem...and when trying to configure it so that it does, it only gives options as if i was on dial up. my modem, by the way is a linksys

better yet i'll ask this: im at the modem parameters part. and i see a drop down type thing that shows /dev/modem. which do i choose so that it will detect the modem?
