Problems installing iftop
I'm hoping someone can help me. I've been trying to install iftop but I've been getting errors.
Initially I tried installing it via yum (# yum install iftop) but it wasn't listed. So, I downloaded the tarball and decompressed it and tried installing it manually. I got an error message at the end of the install saying that it needed libpcap.so.0.8.3. So I kept looking for an answer.
After I added the DAG repo, it found it and tried installing it. The problem is that I still get an error message. The same one even through yum.
So... I tried installing libpcap via yum but it installed 0.9.4 and I still got the message. Then I manually installed it 0.8.1 and still got the message. Then, I found 1.1.0 and I tried that and it still failed. Then I found 0.8.3 and installed it, and it still failed.
Can anyone help me with this?? Maybe I haven't installed something else that it needs to work, but any help is appreciated. As you can tell, I'm very new to this.
