iftop will not load


Hello all,

I have installed iftop to monitor my proftpd server and I cannot get the program to run. I am trying as root and I type iftop and I get the error "command not found." I found the executable in the directory it installed to and it gives the error "program not found." What other ways are there to start programs? I have tried to reinstall it and it says all files are already installed. I have read all of the install and readme files and have searched numerous websites. I am still a noob and it is probably a stupid mistake but it is driving me nuts. I am running Mandrake 9.1 . Thanks in advance for any su
