Point2Play Problems
I'm having touble installing my Point2Play. I'm using a cedega that was not downloaded from p2p and when I open p2p in a terminal it gives me this:
$ /usr/bin/Point2Play
The Cedega version (manual) you are defaulting to is missing the following file : config
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/transgaming_point2play/Point2Play_gui.py", line 1523, in install_menu_cb
log.logger.info("Default winex version is: " + self.Point2Play.default_winex)
TypeError: cannot concatenate 'str' and 'NoneType' objects
note that this is after the program is loaded and I press install (nothing happens). I don't get it. I can install things through cedega through the cedega command, so that means that there's a config file. Any body have any ideas?
Where did you get it from? If you really don't want to pay the $5 to download it, you can get a CVS version from www.transgaming.com - it's not as complete as the official version, but it does work and has instructions for downloading and installing.
(for other version replace the 4.3.1. The numbering is strange, for "4.4.3-1" you must write 4.3.1 so for the others version of cedega i don't really know what to write... but I think for "cedega-4.4.2" for example, you may write "4.2")
I had exactly the same problem and with this modification it works now... :-D
So if it don't work for you, It must be because the numbering is false...
Good luck!!!
(If you still have problems post your cedega version number...)
