Nvidia lockup mouse moves bugs fix. and Alsamixer problems.

Hello, I am new to linux and stuff,

Heres something you may like for all those ppl with AMD 64bit, mandrake 10.1, Nvidia driver lockup but mouse moves bug problems. I was told to check the box in the MCC, (Force no APIC and Force no local APIC), and if theres APIC in your bios disable it too. It works like a charm Ive been running for days, and i havent locked up yet

Ok my problem..
Ive tried to install the Alsamixer 1.0.4, done the instructions

done
./configure
make
make install
./snddevices
edit the /etc/modules.conf
reboot,
I get..
No Sound card found.
And wont go to X unless i select No for alsa and sound on boot.
And i check and the /dev/dsp is gone even tho it was there when i rebooted.
Any ideas?
