Can someone help me with a jumpy mouse/touchpad that moves on its own?

I jsut upgraded to the 2.6.1 kernel on Mandrake 9.1, and my mouse is really jumpy. Also, my touchpad doesnt have taps enabled, and it moves on its own. Does anyone have any suggestions?
