ntop start error Redhad 4.8 EL

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for helping me. I am trying to run NTOP on redhat 4.8 EL x64.

The ntop version i am installing is 3.2

I enter the command:

Code:
ntop -P /usr/local/lib/ntop -w 9000 -d
I get the the same output i get on my centOS5 test server that works, but it doesn't work on the redhat computer. It looks like it should be running but it's not. Any ideas anyone?

Code:

what says it's not running? If you run ntop without the -d option it won't fork into the background, so if for some reason it does die, you'll see.

Thanks acid_kewpie,

I'm not sure what the problem was but I ran the ntop without the -d option and it started. I then stoped the process and started it again with the -d option and it is running as a deamon fine.
