Redhad and openmosix - X server cannot start

Hi,

I read some similar messages about it, but I couldn't find anything that I could following in.

I added the openmosix package to my system using the openmosix-kernel-2.4.21-openmosix1.i686.rpm file.

When I boot the system, the X Server doesn't start:

"I cannot start the X server ..."

Unfortunally, there is no error xFree86 error message (even in the logging file):

"Module Loader present
OS Kernel: Linux version 2.4.21-openmosix1 (root@vmtrane) (gcc version 3 Makers: (--) probed, (**) from config file, (==) default setting, (++) from command line, (!!) informational, (WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown
(==) Log file: "/var/log/XFree86.0.log", Time...
(==) Using config file: /etc/X11/XF86Config

That's it.

This is my configuration :

OS Kernel: Linux version 2.4.21-openmosix1 (after install openmosix)
XFree86 4.3.0 Red Had Enterprise Linux release: 4.3.0-35.EL)
Build : Linux 2.4.21-2.ELsmp i686

OS : Redhat Professional Workstation
OS Kernel: 2.4.21 with enhancements (original kernel)

I tried also compile the kernel but I have the same error.

It will boot ok if I use the original kernel. Also, I tried it in two different machine with different hardware on it.

Since there isn't an usefull error message in the xFree86 logging file, does someone have a suggest for what I should looking for?

Thanks,

Norberto E.

Same Problem

I've encountered the same problem under RHEL 3.0 with openmosix-2.4.21 and openmosix-2.4.24 i686 kernels, both as rpms and compiled from source. Any ideas?
