newb trying to use sound-recorder
Hi,
my system is a 2.8GHz Celleron w/ 768MB DDR running redhat 9. I've tried this on my systems onboard sound card, and with my Creative Labs 10k card as well so i'm pretty sure that the issue is in the software, not the hardware.
I go to sound-recorder in redhat 9, and I try to record, as i'm playing my guitar i can hear it coming out of my pc's speakers. after i've recorded, i press play, and it plays back what i've just recorded. I press play a second time to hear it again and the program just closes, no error messages, nothing. so i start sound-recorder back up, record again, and then go to 'save' w/o trying to play it back... once again it just closes.
A few minutes later when I'm in the middle of something else, i get an error message letting me know that sound-recorder has crashed and that i should submit a bug report. . . i'm about to download rezound right now to see if it works any better, but i'd really like to use a basic, no bells and whistles recording program, is there anyway that i can get this to work properly?
