Sound Recorder Does not work

I cannot get sound recorder to work.
I know my Mic is functional and so are teh speakers....

I dont see the Time Bar moving when I record.....when i stop recording and press play...it closes the application

Sound Card is sound Blaster ens 1371....

Any help would be appreciated..

BTW, where would it put the Log file related to the Sound Recorder..i would assume it cored when I tried to play...

Hi,

Nobody can answer this question because you have provided no information about your system. What distro are you using, which desktop environment? Which sound recorder program? Can you play back sound with this card and if so with what software? Have you set all the volumes in the mixer? Have you tried other sound recording programs?
