Hi all. I have a nessusd running on a debian machine on my network, but cant seem to connect to it and scan another box on my network from my laptop. I get an error with the client. Nessusd is running ofcourse but it keeps giving me errors, that the server isnt responding etc etc. Can anyone shed some light on this? I dont like running the daemon from my local machine because it eats up a lot of cpu. I've had nessus before and i was able to do just that, and now that im starting to use it again its not working. Also, i upgraded the daemon to the latest and i still get the same error, i tried kill -HUP and kill -9 and im still getting the same thing. Any suggestions? Im about ready to kick my server =/ Thanx in advance!

OK, well I'd be looking at a firewall or a config on nessus to only listen to lo. can you telnet to the relevant port? port 1241 i believe.
