mplayer not playing mp4 and wmv

hello everybody,
i need some help regarding mplayer. it is not playing mp4 and wmv videos, but plays other videos well.wat is the problem? i use rhel 4 . please specify locations of files or attach them if needed.

Have a look at this and read the readme file getting on untaring the archive
