mplayer no display


Hearing that the mplayer is the best choice for the open platform so ,i make it installed on my os (centos ),but it was no so well as expected when
i trying to a avi format video file which only sound playing without any
pictures.when it recall me to the compile time there was no errors or some warns .if any one have the same problme,contact me ,thanks!

You should get it from the linva repository. That way you will get you all the codecs that they cannot put in the official repo.
If you want a graphical frontend, you need the gmplayer package.

Ok,the problme has solved ,and the case is that i did't make the x11 development package installed after the installation and recompile the mplayer it works right.Hopfully this is useful for the newbie.
