Question Mozilla: Alert "The document contains no data."

I'll fax a pint to anyone who can tell me how to stop these worthless popups from happening in Mozilla 1.7+.

(But you can't tell me to uninstall Mozilla or use something else, or stop trying to load web pages )

how to stop popups from happening
Basically four options I think:
0. Disable Java and Javascript. Radical but most effective.
1. Use the built-in Popup blocker: prefs>P&S>Popup windows. Useful when Javascript is enabled but effective to some extent.
2. Use a third party popup blocker. Useful when Javascript is enabled but effective to some extent.
3. Use a filtering proxy. Useful when Javascript is enabled but filters may need occasional adjustments.

Thanks, but this is not a general popup problem. It's a problem because my ISP doesn't have reliable reverse DNS and a lot of wesites 502 me. Since nothing comes back to display a lot of times, I get the Alert popup: "The document contains no data." And it's annoying as hell because I usually have a zillion tabs open and Mozilla locks up until I dismiss the ungrateful sob.

Java- no worries, mate. Won't be found anywhere on my machines!

Cheers,
Rand

Ah. OK. Only quick way I can think of is using a proxy that has proper DNS records but you'll (slightly) loose speed.

Thanks, I'll have to consider what to do now. I was hoping there was a way to disable the alert.
