Mouse problems with Slack 9...

A friend of mine set me up with a Linux box and when we were setting it up he was using a USB mouse...

Well, he set it up to use a PS/2 mouse before I left...

I get home, boot up, login to root and try to startx and I get an error saying it can't find the mouse...

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

ok, so you will have to make a link from /dev/mouse to /dev/psaux (just to make things nicier). Then run XFree86config and when it asks about mouse answer PS/2 and that it is in /dev/mouse (which points to /dev/psaux).

If you have a scrool you can add ZAxisMapping "4 5" on your config file to use the scrool and change the protocol from PS/2 to IMPS/2.
