mount a iso image rw?

I am mounting a iso file with the following:

mount -o loop -t iso9660 /home/user/cdimage1.iso /mnt/loop

the /mnt/loop is 777, the file is 777, it mounts ok, but now I want to write information back into the iso file, is there a way to mount it RW so I can edit the file on the fly as you can with say winiso in windows, it will allow me to modify a file in the iso. I know I can extract and rebuild the iso, but I do not want to do that, i want to edit it on the fly. Is there a way to mount RW, or perhaps there is a linux app that can handle that function for me. please advise.

Thanks in advance,

Neal...

No, the iso9660 file system is a read-only filesystem and can't use the "rw" mount option.
