How to mount a shared ISO image...?

Is there a way to mount a shared ISO?
I've tried this way: first, mount the share, using "smbmount", and then I tried to mount the iso by "mount -t iso9660 -o loop <image> <mountpoint>". The second works for local ISOs but in this particular case I get: "ioctl: LOOP_SET_FD: Invalid argument". I don't know what that is, that's why I hope someone helps me

shared ISO is an ISO image, shared on the network from other computer.I don't have any problems mounting ISOs from my local hard drive but thanks anyway.
About umounting...in your case you should try:
umount /my/mountpoint
And you should know that not only su can mount... but you must read some stuff about "fstab" to get the details...

Is the ISO file on a linux computer or a windows computer? If it is on a linux computer, then have it mounted on that linux computer and share the mount point.

I don't know if mounting an iso in a shared path would work. Make sure that the iso file can be seen first of all. I.E. it's in a shared directory. Include the entire path name including the iso file in the mount command. I think that each user would have to do the same to access the contents of the shared iso file.
