Unhappy Meeting when browse php page on Apache.

Hello, everyone!

I meet with a trouble when browsing php page on Apache based web server. After setting up several virtual hosts, and FTP some static html page to the server, all goes perfectly.

But when FTP some php pages to a virtual host, when browsing from my browser, the source code of php is displayed instead of the php generated dynamic web page.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,
Geo

They either dont have php support installed or they/you are using the wrong extensions..

try

.php
.php4
.php3

etc..

if they have php it will probably either be .php or .php4 and if niether of them works then you need to ask them if they support php and if so what extension on the php files should you use.

Thanks, _KDF buddy!

The situation is... I am the admin of my web site and I want to add php support to each virtual hosts.

How to do that? Are there some samples or tutorials?

Best regards,

Well to add php support you just need to install php and edit your apache conf files, add the extensions .php etc, which are probably already in the conf file but commentated out.

So first you need to install php, try and find an rpm for your distro or alternativly just build it yourself from www.php.net
