I'm having some problems with ALSA. When I pop open alsamixer (or amixer) I see bars like master, mic, aux, etc. Well that's great, but there are also suppose to be others such as my opical in/out. They 'use' to be there, but then dissappeared (can't figure out why). Anyways, anybody know how to get these back, or point me in the right direction?
Originally posted by Gerardoj Hey, Try on your terminal:
alsamixer
Then you will see the 'bars' and move with your keyboard arrows, then to save do this as root:
alsactl store
luck..
Gerardoj.. I believe servo888 is quite capable of opening alsamixer and moving the 'bars'. That is not his problem if you read his previous post. His problem is that he is missing the optical in/out adjustment 'bars' which he needs to control his sound.
