Hi all,
I was wondering if there's already a tool to log a shell session to a unique file? I want to keep track of what I do in certain sessions, and bash's history isn't up to the task. I want to log stdin, stdout and stderr if possible.
What I would like best would be a program that can create a log file like this:
Code:
/home/cromagnon/log-20040914-1302:
[bash]$ touch test1
[bash]$ touch test2
[bash]$ ls
test1 test2
[bash]$ make
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.
[bash]$
I can whip up a shell command to create the filename myself if necessary, but does a tool exist for this?
