login/out screen

I have Mandrake 9.2 and I run KDE 100% of the time. I only use Linux to screw aorund in and try to customize.

First off, how can I change the login and logout screens. You know the loginscreen being the one before the splash screen and the logout would be the one with the Dragon on it when using KDE.

How can I customize these?

Also where can I get some good themes?

Thanks man!

Heres a new question from the newb

I made the user name 'timie'. And there is also 'root. I already have timie all setup and the theme is setup but I found out I cant access files that only the root can. Could I make my timie account, root?

Don't make yourself root - just give all users access to the files using the chmod command:
chmod 664 /path/to/file
And also the directoris that they are contained in:
chmod 775 /path/to/dir
