live tv streaming, remote channel change.

I have a computer with a tuner card, and I would like it to stream video so that it could be watched on all computers in my network. I have found some applications that does that, but I would really like to be able to change channels remotely. It isn't really useful to watch TV at your computer if you can't change channels. Is there any (linux) software out there that may help me?

EDIT: That is changing channels from the computer watching the stream. Not with an IR remote.

Hmm. I couldn't find anything about such a feature neither in its feature list nor in its documentation. Is there really such a feature? I want to stream video and be able to change channels from the computer watching the stream.

Hmm. isn't that for controlling from an infrared control, I guess i could use optical leaders and buy one remote for each computer, but that weren't what i wanted.

Was I unclear in my question? Its edited now to be on the safe side anyways.
