linux to linux GUI emulation

I generally use Exceed from windows machine to emulate GUI from the production linux server( SLES 10).

Now I want to do this from a linux machine(CentOS 6) .

Which solution should I use for this ??

I tried with X over ssh its giving the error:

java.lang.InternalError: Can't connect to X11 window server using '172.25.121.175:0.0' as the value of the DISPLAY variable.

while JAVA_HOME is set properly and X forward is also enabled.

Hello,

If with 'emulate GUI' you mean connect remotely to the desktop environment from Linux to a Linux machine, have a look at NX NoMachine. If that's not what you're looking for, then I understood wrong and some clarification might be needed.

X over ssh is working now, there were some filesystem issue. I now will try with NX.

Hi,

Would you mind sharing what filesystem issues you encountered that blocked running an application over X11? It might be helpful in future for users encountering the same or similar problems.

Not filesystem exactly, it was space error. This server is actually running in a virtual enviroment and the size of one log file was increasing in exponential rate and I was unable to track that. it consumed almost 100% space of the filesystem and any operation in the server was giving the error:
