Question Linux alternative for Retrospect?

Does anyone know of a Linux alternative to the Windows-version of Retrospect Express that I use to backup my system to an external USB drive? As this is for personal use, I prefer shareware or freeware rather than an expensive commercial product.

Not sure what Retrospect does. You can use utilties like tar or cpio for simple backups in Linux/Unix. There are other more robust packages for Linux I'm sure (I use a commercial one). Check out www.rpmfind.com or www.sourceforge.net.
