For some reasons, i need to install Red Hat Linux 6.2 on a P 4, 3 GHz machine with SATA hard drive but when itry toinstall, i see the following error line on the screen again and again and again ans installer doesn't go any further

what is the problem? Is problem with drivers of SATA drives? how to solve this problem?

Personally to resolve that Issue i would get an add in IDE card and a standard PATA drive to install on.
I don't believe there are any SATA drivers in that old version of Linux..

RH 6.2 thats what, from 1996 or so ? there were no SATA drives back then..

Use VMWare server. You can install a newer OS on the server and then install 6.2 in a vm. VMware server is free and easy to use. You can also install a newer Linux distro and use Xen.
