Konqueror Problem in KDE

HI,

I am having problem of Konqueror does not get loaded.
in KDE, but where as in Gnome or other window managers it gets opened.

Which version of KDE, and what Linux distribution, are you using?

What happens if you try to run konqueror in a terminal window? Do you get any error message?

when i run konqueror, hour glass comes at taskbar for some time and does not get loaded.
I use mandrake 10.1 powerpack, KDE 3.2 i guess

and i dont get any error messages

open the terminal and type:

konqueror


what then?

that i tried in konsole by typing konqueror it does get loaded.

When i try in console i get some error, and does not get loaded.
but when i load the same in gnome or ICEwm it gets loaded.

Can you copy and paste the error message you get when you try to run konqueror in a console window?

Is their any other alternate file managers similar to konqueror.
