Konqueror was working fine. I came back to the computer after about a half hour, selected a site from Bookmarks, clicked on it, the bail just kept bouncing. The site never loaded. I finally shut down the computer, restarted the computer, chose a different bookmark, same result. Again had to shut down computer to stop bouncing ball. Restarted, tried typing in a URL, same result. Shut down, restarted, did a complete removal via package manager and a reinstall. I tried again. Balls been bouncing about half an hour and I'm puzzled as all get out.

From minimum experience with Mozilla since a reinstall didn't help I assume it is in my profile folders but that is a guess and I don't have a clue what to do. Please assume total newbie when answering.

OK I did some more digging and I found that in processes I suddenly get at least five instances of "Kident: KFMClient open URL" forming an closing. They occur and close too fast to highlight and choose kill.

Guess I have one of those problems no one else has encountered since I am getting no replies. To update my original post I have now tried totally removing KDM and reinstalling. That did not fix it.

Also just for the record my other browsers do connect.
