kernel 2.4.20-20.9 update...info

I,m thinking of upgrading to kernel 2.4.20-20.9 from 2.4.20-8
What I want to know is , I want to use APT-SYNAPTIC
Does upgrading this way work ok ,does it cause any problems ?
Has anyone done this ?

Thanx

the differences between releases like this are so small why even hassle with it?
and
no idea if it will cause any problems.
