Distribution: Red Hat 8 and 9, knoppix, Mandrake(not real fond of), and have Debian, though I haven't used it.

Just downloaded winex and cannot figure out how to make it run


This is a relative newbies small cry for help.

I just downloaded winex3-3.1-1.i386.rpm and installed it, but I cannot seem to figure out how to make it run... terminal, from the run menu, where does it run from? and if in terminal what is the command.

in a terminal type:

winex /path/tp/executable/file.exe

Okay, that helped... but, I am trying to install Diablo II and it will not allow me to change disks... any ideas?

Go here , Transgaming have Diablo 2 working under Winex.

i got the same version of winex, and when i try to run a program, i get the following:
x11drv: Can't open display: :0.0
im running red hat 9 & windows 98
2.1 GHz Athlon, 256 MB PC3200 DDR RAM, 80GB for linux, 6.5 GB for windows.....

any help would be greatly appreciated!

can some1 give me a compiling howto??? or say where i can find a precompiled .deb, dont matter if its old, i only need for diablo II i dont feel like paying fi
