Installing rpm

Hey guys how do you install an rpm in Redhat 9. I'm extremely new to unix systems and dont know anything. Also is there any good books I could read on Linux Systems?? Thanks! The rpm I'm trying to install is the flast plugin from Macromedia.

I don't remember installing flash from a rpm though. But if you are sure it's a rpm, use the command:

rpm -ivh <full name of the rpm here>

The ivh stand for i=install, v=verbose (better output for errors) and h=hash (so you will see hash "#" symbols as the installing process goes).
