Installing from rpm


I am running FC 2, whenever I download a rpm pacakge and try to run it than instead of the package being installed a "Open with" box comes up ?

Try doing it from a shell(as root):

# rpm -ivh <package>

When you download an rpm, use Fedora's package manager. When the dialogue ask 'open with', just specify the package manager.
