hi all,
I am using fedora8. I tried compiling the linux photobooth program cheese2.24, it gives a lot of errors during the ./configure step :- (the last few lines where the error is reported are )
Quote:

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables CHEESE_CFLAGS
and CHEESE_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

Most of the requirements seem to me like gnome upgrade. I presently have gnome 2.20.1.
If I upgrade to a new gnome , will that cause problem for my existing applications ? Also is there a repository for gnome 2.25 which will auto resolve all the dependencies and I should be good to go ?
thanks in advance
