installing cheese the photobooth application
hi all,
I am using fedora8. I tried compiling the linux photobooth program cheese2.24, it gives a lot of errors during the ./configure step :- (the last few lines where the error is reported are ) Quote:
If I upgrade to a new gnome , will that cause problem for my existing applications ? Also is there a repository for gnome 2.25 which will auto resolve all the dependencies and I should be good to go ? thanks in advance nishith |
Are you sure it's not in fedora repositories?

what we have in fedora repo is a older one cheese-0.2.4 and it doesnot seem to work on my system. I wrote to the forum and they say that upgrade to cheese-0.24.0 and also upgrade the gstreamer plugins to 0.6.20 or above.
that is why ? thanks nishith |
I know it doesn't answer your question, but perhaps, you could upgrade fedora. I've got fedora 10 beta - the stable version should be out still in November. It has cheese 2.24.1

thanks for the hint
