Install one of the firefox packages using command line rpm. Use the rpm --relocate option to install the package in a unique location. See:
You could install 1.0.6 system-wide via yum and download deer park alpha and manually install it in your home directory. Then create an alias in ~/.bashrc, along the lines of " alias deerpark='path/to/deerpark/executable' "
Its not possible using YUM (and can be impossible manually using rpm if the rpm was designed so that the installation directories cannot be changed) if they have the same file names. One version will obsolete/uninstall the other. I install the stable version using rpm and the testing version manually using the tar.gz files from the mozilla website.
