i severely messed up my xorg.conf file. i am looking for someone who has FC2 and could copy their settings. mostly just the module part but any more would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

While you wait, have you tried xorgconfig, you could use this to create a xorg.conf file :)?

I don't seem to have xorgconfig on my FC2 box. I did find an option 'Xorg -configure' that might work if run by root.

As for Emacs...
