i just installed kde 3.2.3 on slackware 9.1 and....


i just today installed slackware 3.2.3 onto slackware 9.1... upgraded from 3.2.2..... i upgraded all the kde packages including qt, quanta etc..... but after i rebooted.... logged in first i got..

then i did startx and got this....

do you have swaret? I would reccomend getting it, then run
swaret --update
and
swaret --upgrade

that will update every package on your system, incuding any KDE ones that you missed, or any packages that depend on kde. that should end your problems

This doesn't seem like a KDE problem. Errors like can't open display are related to X server so the problem is probably your X server. Make sure it's properly configured. However if other WMs or desktop env. work you'll know it is a problem with KDE
