i just installed kde 3.2.3 on slackware 9.1 and....
i just today installed slackware 3.2.3 onto slackware 9.1... upgraded from 3.2.2..... i upgraded all the kde packages including qt, quanta etc..... but after i rebooted.... logged in first i got..

do you have swaret? I would reccomend getting it, then run
swaret --update and swaret --upgrade that will update every package on your system, incuding any KDE ones that you missed, or any packages that depend on kde. that should end your problems |
This doesn't seem like a KDE problem. Errors like can't open display are related to X server so the problem is probably your X server. Make sure it's properly configured. However if other WMs or desktop env. work you'll know it is a problem with KDE
