how to determine cpu bit 32 or 64


Hello

how can I determine if the cpu on my server is 32bit or 64.

type the command arch

This gives me x86_64, I'd guess if it's 32 bit it would be just x86

It's a 32bit processor. Specifically it's a pentium, I think pentium 2 or newer, but don't remember for sure.

Type ' cat /proc/cpuinfo ' to see what it is.
