How to compile?

Hi, how on Earth do you compile this file? It's just a KDE theme (For Debian - so really I'd like to make a .deb). There is no configure script and no clear instructions on how to generate one.

Please help.

Well I don't really know much about KDE (I'm a fluxbox fan ), but if it's a theme file then you probably don't have to compile it, just put in the directory KDE uses for themes, maybe extract it, then look for it the theme control panel, or whatever the right term is.

Download and extract the package then once in its source directory since there is a debian directory with a rules file in it, fakeroot debian/rules binary this should compile and generate a .deb package that you can install. BTW have you heard of apt-file you are probably going to need it to get all the -dev packages will need to build the package if/when you get error about not finding such and such file, also the instructions for building the package are in the INSTALL file.

Hi, the generic install instructions didn't work. However your instructions did. Thanks!
