how can i disable autocomplete in firefox

hi all.

i just recently switched from mozilla to mozilla-firefox and wondering if someone knows a way to disable the autocomplete in the location bar. i have always thought this feature was a little annoying. i went under privacy...saved formed information and unchecked save information but that didn't seem to work. thanks.

I think you can disable autocomplete in:

Options > Privacy > Saved Form Information

hi jdruin...thats exactly what i tried. i explained that in my message. for some reason that doesn't seem to work. i was wondering if this is a bug in firefox. if anybody knows i would appreciate it. thanks.

Sorry it didnt work. I guess you could try searching with Google. Also mozillas instruction page is pretty good. Here is the link to the part that describes the menu options in detail.
