Exclamation HELP! remote graphics terminal emulation

Hi.

I'm on Redhat 9.0 trying to ssh to a remote SunBlade, run a program off of it, and emulate it on my screen. I can't use telnet, xhost, and the like because there's a firewall against telnet. and it seems to me that setenv DISPLAY myIP:0.0 is useless since an ssh shell establishes an x tunnel right?? Obviously a newb here. So when I run the program, most of it shows up, but some of the layers of color to the program do not show up, and it is not functional. I also have F-secure SSH on XP and wouldn't mind doing it from XP, but I think I need an X-client??? If anyone knows of a free one, can they tell me about it? I can emulate just fine within the workgroup, from one work computer to another. But it seems impossible from Redhat 9. Help anyone it's pretty urgent???

I usually just ssh in from my linux workstation and type the command, and it runs.

What about VNC

I was looking for free X windows clients for XP and had no real luck. You might consider running VNC, there are free VNC clients for XP and of course the VNC server is free on Linux. You could still tunnel the VNC through the SSH tunnel if you like, and if the firewall prevent access from most port you may need to tunnel it. Baciacally with the Client X or VNC you change the IP to the loopback 127.0.0.1, and your SSH client catches the traffic and sends it throught the ssh encrypted tunnel. VNC is similar to Remote Desktop on XP basically the same thing remote control of the other computer. Good luck let;s hear how it goes.
