HELP connecting MIC Input/Line Input with Jack and Qsynth

Im trying to use a keyboard that is connected to my mic input of my Audigy 2 ZS sound card and have it process through a soft synth application like qsynth or jamin. I can successfully record from the mic input in ardour so I know the input works fine, but I cant figure out how route audio traffic through Qsynth first to add effects. Someone please help me out!
