GUI database app?

Is there a nice GUI database program available for GNU/Linux? I don't mean just the backend -- I mean an easy-to-use GUI program, like AppleWorks's database component.

StarOffice has Adabas, and, if my information is correct, the new OpenOffice 2.0 (beta) has a database component.

Thanks for the reply bigrigdriver.

I've only tried using OOo once -- I installed it on a Windows computer at work. It's very large. And lately I think I've read that it's got a Java dependency.

Do you know of anything smaller? Kinda' like how gnumeric is for spreadsheets? It doesn't even have to be GTK-based.

I found this page: http://www.gnome.org/projects/ but all they list for databases is http://www.gnome-db.org/ . No actual user application.

Also, looking at the gnome-office site http://www.gnome.org/gnome-office/ , a db app is conspicuously missing.

You're right, the OO database does need Java. I got a message that I needed to download JRE and did, though I thought I might already have it on this HD. Now I get into the DB menu but can't create anything because the Java message keeps coming up. Is there something I need to do to PATH? I installed from the RPM.
