Gracefully restarting ProFTPD?

Hello, I would like to setup a script that changes ProFTPD's port every hour, but is it possible for proftpd to reload its configuration without ending current connections?

send it an HUP Signal (aka SIGHUP)

I do it like this:

Code:
killall -HUP proftpd
This will make it re-load its configuration. I am not totally sure of the effect it has on open connections, but I THINK it leaves them as is.

Good Luck.
