Good file browsing program?

Whats a good program for file browsing? I have kde file manager but that wont load, (complains path to su program not set right) but I have had it before where I would enter root passwd and it would flick on and close . So would rather use a different program if possible.

Any suggestions?

there are many file managers, and i'll just name a few below ...
